The Harold Cotton Memorial Fund has been established by the Cotton family to educate and inspire future leaders of the Jewish community of Central Massachusetts. Every other year, a group of 12-15 young people embark on an 8-month journey in search of more Jewish knowledge and understanding of the local and global Jewish issues. The participants, who are carefully chosen from a long list of nominees, come together to participate in a high level series of programs facilitated by experts in their fields. At the end of the Harold Cotton Young Leadership Program, the graduates are placed in leadership positions at the Federation, its agencies, and synagogues throughout Central Massachusetts.
David and Marlene Persky – A lasting legacy to the Jewish community
"We feel that the work the Federation does is crucial to the wellbeing of the community and we want to leave some support to help assure that this work will continue into the future. This is the importance of an endowment: it provides permanent funds to help sustain an organization." David gave meaning to these words by becoming one of the first Federation leaders to establish a Perpetual Annual Campaign Endowment. When the Lion of Judah Endowment program was initiated, Marlene was the first woman to rise to the occasion. Click here for details.
